Smile In A Day – A Whole New Smile In Just One Day
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that serves as the replacement for the root portion of a missing natural tooth. Your bone bonds to the implant and that becomes the anchor for the replacement teeth.
A dental implant is composed of three components:
- a small titanium screw that is inserted into and fuses with the jawbone serving as the replacement for the root portion of a missing natural tooth,
- an “abutment” or post which attaches to the implant,
- and a crown (in the case of one implant) that fits over the abutment to provide a natural looking tooth that functions well.
Dental implants may be used to replace individual teeth, multiple teeth, or all your teeth in one or both arches. In the case of a full arch, 14 teeth may be supported by as few as four implants.
Are dental implants successful?
With more than three decades of clinical experience and over a million patients treated, statistics confirm a success rate of nearly 95% for dental implants, and close to 100%success for the bridges they support.
‘Smile in a Day’
This technique simply requires the fitting of implants (usually four) on which the bridge of teeth is placed. The treatment results in a fully functional set of teeth that can look and feel completely natural.
