The support staff are all great and the interest free payment system and Saturday appointments are really helpful. Very happy to have found the practice and I appreciate the conscientious approach.

I have been impressed by the quality of care and service at Devonshire house. I was on holiday in France but having tooth pain because of an infected cracked tooth. Wail is an excellent speaker and teacher. I appreciate his realistic and patient centred approach when managing cases. I always leave learning something new each time at his CPD treatment planning evenings.

I recently had the pleasure of attending Wail’s’ lecture on “A Straightforward, Easy, and Predictable Approach to Bone and Socket Grafting in Practice.” The lecture was exceptionally well-structured, catering to both novice and experienced implantologists. It covered essential topics such as extraction site management, ridge preservation, various grafting techniques, surgical protocols, and prosthetic planning,all presented with remarkable clarity and relevance.

I decided to get botox as I didn’t like the lines at the side of my eyes and my frown. I discussed what I hoped to achieve with my Specialist Dentist Assad Khan and felt fully informed of the treatment and what to expect afterwards. The pain was minimal and a few days on, I’m now loving the reduced lines and the smoothness of my forehead.

Fit well, great colours. The most comfortable mouthguard ever!

I initially met Wail as a SmileTube delegate, where he was an outstanding mentor helping me to place implants. His knowledge is unparalleled and his skill and expertise second to none. A Devonshire House Specialist Prosthodontist mentored me at my practice as there were two difficult cases that needed further surgical intervention prior to the prosthetic stage. I’ve been referring to DH for CBCT scans for 6 years, first with the postal referral, and later with their online referral system. I have found their service invaluable for my implant planning purposes either full arch scans or smaller 50 by 50mm sections. The patients are contacted by their reception team and scan done by their inhouse radiologist. Communication with us, and the patient through out the process is excellent with scan data sets being emailed to us very quickly afterwards. I have, on occasion, used their radiologist reports which were detailed and concise.Their radiologist, when I’ve needed to speak to her, has been very helpful. I can recommend this professional service to all dentists who don’t have access to their own cbct scan machine.

I have been using the CBCT referral service at Devonshire house since 2015 and am always pleased with the service and quality of the scans. The online referral form is quick and simple to use. We always receive clear communication regarding the appointments and the scans are instantly emailed back to us in a secure format within 48-72 hours. The whole process is seamless. The radiology reports I receive with each scan are always very thorough and this gives me the reassurance that I have not missed any vital information. I highly recommend this service.

Needed an emergency repair to my denture. After a very helpful telephone call with a receptionist I was given an appointment for the same day. A consultation with a dentist made sure the fit was excellent. Once again exemplary service.

Having a same day crown was a very efficient process and meant just one trip to Devonshire House. The experience was stress free and there was no need for a temporary crown and all that that entails. This was made possible by the new digital scanning technology which enabled a replacement crown to be created with the exact contours of the original tooth during my two hour wait in the comfort of the sitting room.

I attended to have one of the new same days crowns; the convenience of having both appointments in one day is so great to fit in with my busy work diary. As always every aspect of my treatment was to the highest possible standard I would associate with coming to Devonshire House.

Recently I managed to crack my upper right molar by grinding my teeth in my sleep, I was seen by Dr Cyrus Nikkhah at Devonshire House and after a thorough investigation and an X-Ray we agreed that the tooth would require a crown due to the fracture and that the crack was approaching the nerve inside the tooth, to stop the nerve developing an abscess I would require a Root Canal Treatment first. There was then the crown to provide in order to prevent further fracture of the weakened tooth. This Dr Nikkhah reassured me he could provide in one day with help from the latest scanner and the on-site laboratory, no more messy impressions making me gag or competing for my breathing, I thought it may be too good to be true but how wrong was I. Indeed I had a first appointment at 10:30am a few weeks after the completed Root Canal Treatment, and then returned at 2:30pm for the crown fitting. My teeth were scanned prior to preparing the tooth for the crown then rescanned to measure the new shape of the tooth and my bite, so quick and effortless, this data was emailed to the in house technician. The fitting was so simple, no grinding in of crown to tooth, the precision was incredible. I now have a beautiful new tooth which feels like what nature intended. I should mention that I’m a Dentist myself so in many ways would be the most difficult patient to treat as I understand the complexities so recognise if something is not being done as well as possible. I would recommend if you’re considering a similar treatment to mine then treat yourself to the Gold Standard that Devonshire House provide.

Started going here just before Covid and I cannot recommend them enough. I had a front crown replaced which had been bothering me for years. From the moment I sat in the chair I was put at ease. I have been treated at Devonshire House by Wail Girgis over the past 6 months for, what you might call, a ‘whole mouth refit’ including implants. Wail has extensive experience and technical expertise (and that is my highest accolade). I had previously sought implant treatment at another private practice in Cambridge which, I have since learned, has won the prize for the best provider (of implants). I was turned down as too complex a case. I can only assume that they were concerned about having a potential failure who could have had an adverse effect on their statistics. Wail had no hesitation in taking up the challenge of my dental treatment and has provided it with calm expertise. I also considered seeking the treatment abroad – a much cheaper option, but probably more risky, and it would have been impractical to provide the detailed follow up and numerous checks provided by DH, even if available.

I have been a regular patient since having implants done 4 years ago. Implants was a scary (and expensive) undertaking but I have never regretted it. i used to be constantly bothered by low level pain, had to worry every time I ordered from a restaurant menu whether my choice was suitable or too chewy and often felt slightly under the weather. I travel 50+ miles to the Devonshire House Practice, several times a year for the expertise of the dental and the hygienist teams. Wail Girgis provided me with full sets of implants 11 years ago. I can say that despite a few relatively minor setbacks (which Wail and Yaz always see me through) I have never looked back. I would honestly say my investment with this practice transformed my life – and that really isn’t an over statement.

This is an absolutely outstanding dental practice with the reputation of being one of the best in the Eastern Counties. I have been attending this practice for over 20 years travelling from Norwich in order to do so. I was referred to the practice when I suffered a dental emergency when working in Cambridge. My teeth were in a dreadful state and it was almost certain I would have to use dentures which I wanted to avoid at all cost. Between 2002 and 2006 Mr Ian Pearson gradually inserted implants in both my upper and lower jaws ultimately providing me with an almost completely new set of teeth. The process is not cheap but it has to be recognised that dental implants are difficult and there are many many horror stories about disastrous work undertaken by discounters at home and abroad. Over 20 years I have nothing but praise for a remarkable dentist and for the setup at Devonshire House generally. Such is the excellence of the work that over the last 5 years my annual inspection has shown that I have needed no treatment whatsoever. I am not willing to take any chance with my teeth by visiting anybody else despite the inconvenience of the train journey.

This was the most trouble free extraction I have ever had – extremely swift following the most pain free series of injections. I was deeply impressed with the pleasant atmosphere created by the dentist and nurse which made the appointment completely stress free. Wonderful!

I am delighted to say that I had no bleeding and practically no pain following the extraction. All seems to be healing beautifully and I am very glad to be rid of the tooth.

Exceptionally good – have had a wisdom tooth removed which was the smoothest I’ve had (had two other teeth removed elsewhere and they didn’t heal very well) – healed very quickly and was the most comfortable tooth removal I’ve had. Every time I dread my visit to the dentist and what might be found in my mouth. As soon as I enter reception I am greeted with smiling faces and already start to feel better. When I meet the dentist whom I have known for many years he takes away my fear, knows exactly how to calm me downand treats me with professionalism and care. Over the years I had a few crowns done and I am very happy with them. My whole family comes to Devonshire House – they are brilliant.

I’ve been referring to DH for CBCT scans for 6 years, first with the postal referral, and later with their online referral system. I have found their service invaluable for my implant planning purposes either full arch scans or smaller 50 by 50mm sections. The patients are contacted by their reception team and scan done by their inhouse radiologist. Communication with us, and the patient through out the process is excellent with scan data sets being emailed to us very quickly afterwards. I have, on occasion, used their radiologist reports which were detailed and concise.Their radiologist, when I’ve needed to speak to her, has been very helpful. I can recommend this professional service to all dentists who don’t have access to their own cbct scan machine.

I have been using the CBCT referral service at Devonshire house since 2015 and am always pleased with the service and quality of the scans. The online referral form is quick and simple to use. We always receive clear communication regarding the appointments and the scans are instantly emailed back to us in a secure format within 48-72 hours. The whole process is seamless. The radiology reports I receive with each scan are always very thorough and this gives me the reassurance that I have not missed any vital information. I highly recommend this service.

My first visit to the Devonshire House Dental Practice, although my wife have been using them for some time. A warm welcome from their reception staff who carry out a simple but effective Covid-19 check. My dentist was Deepesh Patel and was bang on time to collect me from the waiting room for my appointment. Deepesh ran through what he was to undertake during my visit and was ably assisted by one of his nursing team. The facilities are first class and is their professionalism throughout my visit was superb.

This was my first appointment at Devonshire House and I was very favourably impressed. The welcome was friendly, while at the same time taking appropriate precautions in the context of Covid. Denny is an excellent dentist – very professional, tells you exactly what he is going to do, and why, in a quiet and confident manner, as well as being pleasant about everything. He caused me no discomfort whatsoever even during my filling replacement that he spotted that needed doing as well.

Another great experience at Devonshire House. Denny reconstructed over half of a tooth confident it could be saved. He was informative, calming, and meticulous in ensuring all possible decay was removed and the end result is indistinguishable from the originals. I felt entirely relaxed through the whole procedure, including the anaesthetic, and was 100% pain free during and after.

Started going here just before Covid and I cannot recommend them enough. I had a front crown replaced which had been bothering me for years by Assad Khan and his team. I saw Dr Puneet Patel for a gum inspection and to discuss possible treatment options. I liked his relaxed and friendly “bedside” manner, which included also asking about my mental health which I thought was a nice touch given the current ongoing craziness. I was very impressed with Devonshire House. My NHS dentist referred me to them as l have problems with gums and some teeth. They were very professional and put me at ease from the very beginning. Had a great experience with Devonshire helping me solve a tricky issue with my dental implant. I had an expert consultation, clear advice letter, transparent cost estimate and lots of information about the procedure. I was anxious on the day and was given lots of reassurance with the staff being empathetic and offering practical support. The surgery went very well and I had a short recovery time with barely any pain or other discomfort. I received a phone call the following day to check on me and have had follow up appointments scheduled (which were clearly mapped out before I chose to go ahead – no upselling). I was provided with a treatment pack which already included kit and medications, no trips to the pharmacy needed afterwards. Dr Patel is also incredibly affable and pays close attention (remembering little things from previous conversations) which makes each visit more pleasant. Highly recommend.

I visited the practice for Root Canal treatment and as a nervous patient was quickly put at ease by Dr Mosahebi. She explained everything that would be done and why it was needed in great detail. I was given numbing cream and felt no pain from any of the injections and had and no pain or discomfort while the treatment was taking place. Negin continually asked if I was ok throughout the appointment, there was lovely music playing and I was even given a blanket. I could have fallen asleep. The following day I wasn’t even aware I’d had it done.

Recently had three implants placed- experience was excellent and I would certainly recommend Devonshire House and Ian Pearson to anyone. One of the implants was particularly tricky but Mr Pearson did a brilliant job and I felt comfortable throughout the whole procedure. Dr Smallwood is very warm and encourages you to relax immediately. She is also very thorough and engages with you describing what she is doing so you know what to expect.

Elisabeth is amazing, very reassuring and obviously an expert in her field. Previous dentist had recommended three front teeth removed and dentures! This wasn’t an option with Elisabeth – a difficult root canal treatment and I’m good to go with all teeth intact.

I was seen by the lovely Dr Patel who looked after me very well with his nurse. For someone who is quite dental phobic this was the best dental experience I’ve ever had despite needing a tooth reconstructed under a local.

Amazing! Deepesh warned that due to the depth of the decay and nature of the procedure there would be sensitivity and soreness – didn’t feel a thing during, or at any time after! Cyrus has been so utterly marvellous for the whole time he has treated me. He took several X-rays and took the time to explain the details of my treatment before proceeding to extract two teeth and put in two implants within my allotted time. I was very fortunate to find this dental practice in a time of need. I was visiting Cambridge for Christmas and my temporary crown came off, so I needed expert help quickly and they totally came to my rescue!! I got an appointment with a skilled dentist in a day. Following the separation of my crown and abutment from the implant i arranged an appointment with Wail at Devonshire House, could not have made a better decision. Having taken a clinical dental photography course I now feel much more confident when taking clinical photographs and it’s great to have a new skill.

My initial role at Devonshire House was a PA to the Practice Manager.  When the Education Programme was introduced I was thrilled to take on the new position of Education and Marketing Manager which enabled me to use my Marketing and Events skills.  As a new position, I really had the opportunity to develop the role myself and it has been so rewarding introducing something new and working so closely with all of the other teams.

I started at DH in 2008 enjoying the variety of nursing with a Prosthodontist. I had an interest in Oral Health Education and was delighted when a role opened up as a job share, soon after gaining my qualification in 2011. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with patients directly and be able to offer a service personally tailored to each of them. I didn’t know of any other practices at the time who employed OHEs. As well as the abundance of orthodontic patients for disclosing, all clinicians within the practice referred patients to see me for extra coaching. Sadly with covid and the extra demand for surgery space the role was withdrawn. I think that the future with Riverdale will bring further opportunities for dental nurse career development.

I started my career at Devonshire House in 2011 as a patient advisor as part of the reception team and was able to apply for the opportunity to become reception supervisor which evolved into deputy reception manager and in time I was able to take on the role as reception manager, my current position. I have been encouraged to take on new challenges which have enabled me to grow both personally and professionally and I encourage my team members to do the same.

I came to DH in 2014 to work as a Dental Nurse, already having obtained my radiography qualification but frustratingly only really having used it on the odd occasions. I was really excited when I had the opportunity to put it to use on a regular basis by being given the role of Devonshire House Dental Radiographer, which includes holding twice weekly clinics taking CBCT scans and OPGs for external referring dentists and of course for our internal Dentists, as well as taking care of the admin and maintenance of the scanning machine all of this which I have continued to enjoy for 4 years now. I feel very happy and lucky to have been given this opportunity within Devonshire House.

I started my career at Devonshire House in 2009 as a qualified dental nurse. I have nursed with most of the dentists in the practice and I feel my knowledge for dentistry has increased massively whilst working alongside the specialists. When I chose to start a family and reassess my career path I was encouraged to apply for the opportunity to work as a receptionist. With my dental knowledge & reception skills I progressed through the team to Reception Supervisor and have recently changed back to my original nursing role.

I joined Devonshire House mid-way through my specialist training at the Eastman and immediately felt like one of the team. The support network at the practice and the breadth of experience to draw upon for advice and mentorship is excellent. All staff are extremely approachable and are happy to help you settle in. Working alongside specialist training allowed me to put into practice what I was learning clinically, and definitely helped when preparing for exit exams and unseen cases.
